ammonite

Michele came to us with a special and somewhat bizarre request: to create an ammonite jewel. Michele also wanted it to be openable, like a small secret chest for his Anna. And inside, enclosed in gold, a wonderful hand-engraved dedication. For Michele we created a sketch on paper and then a hand-modeled wax prototype. After verifying the correspondence between the wax model and the idea, we moved on to the next phase, that is, the casting in 18kt white gold and the finishing.

Michele chose white gold for his jewel. To maintain the realistic and material effect of the ammonite, we equipped it with a sandblasted and sculpted surface in an irregular manner: this made our creation almost a real fossil, perfectly in line with the result desired by Michele for Anna, creating an interesting contrast between the matte surface of the metal and the sparkle of a precious diamond set in the center of the spiral.
